The C&G Machine Embroidery course requires you to make samples of cords which can then be combined to make braids. Here are just a few samples of how I went about this…almost anything can be wrapped, knotted or stitched over and made into lengths. Maybe you could try unusual materials such as plastic bags, wool roving or paper, too. You can use the cords to edge garments or furnishings, or make them into button loops or jewellery.
